Goals

In the area of mental health, access and use of evidence remains a challenging issue, especially in low- and middle-income countries. To contribute to filling this gap, Cochrane Global Mental Health (GMH) has been developed as a satellite to the five Cochrane groups that cover the specialty of mental health.

Cochrane Global Mental Health has three main goals:

GOAL 1. To support the production and dissemination of high-priority Cochrane reviews relevant to promotion, prevention and treatment interventions in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

GOAL 2. To support the dissemination, access and implementation of evidence into practice and policy.

GOAL 3. Information, communication and training activities based on Cochrane reviews and derivative products including evidence-based guidelines, relevant to mental health in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
